Who we are

TeleMedEMR is a service of Beauty Empower Group LLC, a Virginia limited liability company doing business as TeleMedEMR ("we," "us"). This policy covers information collected through telemedemr.com and information we handle when providing the TeleMedEMR platform to customer clinics.

Website visitors

If you email us, we receive the details you send, such as your name, organization, email address, phone number, and message. We use this only to respond to you and to discuss TeleMedEMR with your organization. We do not sell this information or use it for third-party advertising.

Our web host automatically records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of request) to operate and secure the site. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. We do not currently use analytics tools, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies on this site. If we add analytics, we will update this policy first.

Patient information in the platform

Customers use TeleMedEMR to record patient information and send prescriptions. For that information we act as a business associate of the customer under HIPAA and handle it under a Business Associate Agreement. The customer's own notice of privacy practices governs how it uses its patients' information. Patients with questions about their records should contact their provider directly.

Within the platform, protected health information is used only to provide the service: maintaining the medical record, preparing and transmitting prescriptions, processing pharmacy responses, and communicating with patients. We share protected health information only with service providers that process it on our behalf under Business Associate Agreements (such as our hosting, database, email and e-prescribing providers), with the pharmacy receiving a prescription, and as required by law. We never sell personal or health information.

How we protect information

Patient information is stored in a HIPAA-eligible, encrypted, access-controlled database, with each clinic's data isolated from other clinics. Access to and changes of patient records are recorded in audit logs. Prescribers use two-step sign-in. We retain and destroy records under our record-retention policy and applicable law.

You can ask us to update or delete the contact information you sent us by emailing the address below.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
